OVADS is seeking part-time and full-time Adult Day Program Specialists to work with and assist individuals with I/DD at our Adult Day Program situated in Mount Orab, Ohio!

Our philosophy at Ohio Valley Adult Day Services (OVADS) is to foster inclusion and community membership by offering comprehensive and holistic planning to individuals with developmental disabilities by enhancing their strengths, interests and preferences to become successful members of their community.

As an Adult Day Program Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Transporting served individuals to and from Day Program using the company van or 12 passenger bus
• Teaching educational, social and vocational skills
• Engaging in and facilitating community integration, inclusion and outings
• Providing assistance with varying levels of care
• Documenting on services rendered
• Performing additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor(s)

Hiring criteria:

• Candidates must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
• Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, a drug test and a physical examination is necessary
• A driving record with fewer that six (6) points is required
• Current auto insurance must be maintained
• Basic computer literacy skills are essential

Work schedule:

• Monday thru Friday*
• Hours ranging from 35 to 40 hours per week

OVADS is seeking part-time and full-time Direct Support Professionals to work with and assist individuals with I/DD in our residential facilities situated in multiple locations throughout Brown County.

Our philosophy at Ohio Valley Adult Day Services (OVADS) is to foster inclusion and community membership by offering comprehensive and holistic planning to individuals with developmental disabilities by enhancing their strengths, interests and preferences to become successful members of their community.

As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Instructing, executing, and/or aiding in different aspects of self-care, domestic skills, and the administration of medication
• Ensuring the health and safety of the individuals served
• Fostering self-advocacy and promoting participation/involvement in the community.
• Documenting on services rendered
• Performing additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor(s)

              First shift — 7 A.M. to 7 P.M.
              Third shift — 7 P.M. to 7 A.M.
• Scheduling varies with part-time positions
